AlTiN<\/strong> has the highest temperature resistance of any of the available coatings. It is the best choice for dry machining, machining titanium alloys, inconel, stainless alloys and cast iron<\/p>\n

TiN<\/strong> is a general purpose coating for better tool life when machining Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, and Inconel<\/p>\n

TiCN<\/strong> is superior to TiN when machining stainless steels, cast iron, and non-ferrous materials. It is also an excellent choice when machining die and mold steels.<\/p>\n

ZrN<\/strong> is the best choice for machining nonferrous materials and plastic<\/p>\n

Amorphous Diamond<\/strong> is the best choice for machining graphite and aluminum materials. This coating offers a very smooth surface which allows finer finishes and increased tool life.<\/p>\n
